Deco Software

He Diver,

It has been a cumulative thing for me. I started out with ProPlanner in my early OC mix days, eventually found the VR-3, ABYSS Commercial, then the Inspiration, then RGBM, THE H-S Explorer, and the GAP.

That is a really short form for it. It works out so that you can plan your dive on your desk-top using GAP (which has the full-up RGBM) and PPO2 capability. You can monitor your dive on your wet-computer because the H-S uses RGBM. Finally, NAUI has published RGBM tables so you can copy them, seal them in plastic, and carry them as back-ups.

It is a seamless process, and is made to handle heli-ox and constant PPO2 deco.

Does GAP handle heliox better? I'm finding that v-planner etc loads the deco a lot with it...

V-planner, Proplanner, VR£ and decoplanner for OC.

Your missing two awsome programs - the authors of both are members of the board....

We have decoweenie which is awsome if you have a palm and enables you to plan backup tabels on the fly on a boat etc when needed.

and my favourite desktop program - the intertface IMHO is fantastic

I have been using decoplaner for my oc dives the last several years . Great program easy to use. Just have never used a computer for the deeper stuff. Stuart thanks for the links the one from lizardland looks promising. Going to have to get out my metric conversion charts thou .

Helium Software

We've been using Voyager(Buhlman), until about 2 years ago.

We switched to using VPM -B/E and have never looked back. It's a great algorithm and program.

RGBM's shallow stops are a little to short for my taste.

Kevin Gurr is working on a VPM-B algorithm for the VR-3. When this happens V-Planner and VR-3 will be a powerful combination.

We love Helium

Cheers

for OC, I have been using V-planner. Ross is a great guy, and takes the time to actually help if there is any bugs that are discovered.

It does have settings for both CCR and SCR, but I have not played with them a whole lot yet.
