I'm fully agree with your opinionIf it is just a quick bounce to max depth, I would use higher SP (1.2-1.3). And same SP for deco. But if I plan to stay longer duration (20-35+ mins depending on how far past 100m) then I would use lower SP (1.0-1.1) on bottom. This allows me to use higher SP on deco (1.2-1.4) without frying my lungs too much. Just my personal preference...

During my last dive on 110m I used a set point 1.2 for the bottom and 1.4 from 60m for deco on my HSE. At 12m I rinsed my loop to increase ppo2 and remains at 1.6 to 6m (HSE stay on 1.4) For touch and go dive, usualy stay on 1.2
