Pure O2 flushes and VR3 modelling

Hi all

I have been thinking of telling my VR3 that I have something like Tx 95/3 as my diluent when I am doing my stops at 4.5m, when I am running it in pure O2 mode (which I do when at 5m and less for 30 mins or so). I know this is a purely 'what you feel most comfortable with' but for the people who are doing this type of deco, do you put it in CCR mode at 1.4 and do the time, giving extra conservatism from all the time at 3 - 4 m, or do you run it in OC mode to give you more accurate modelling of what you're breathing? I suspect it doesnt really matter much, but any feedback would be interesting

thanks

Ed

Re: Pure O2 flushes and VR3 modelling

i do an o2 flush at 6m and try to get as close to 1.6 as possible then i change my set point to 1.5 and let the unit maintain the set point, i dont change dil settings on the vr3 but i change the set point to reflect what the unit is doing. shaves off plenty and still keeps a level of conservatism as i continue to add o2 manually every now and then
