v-planner question

bear with me folks.

just purchased v-planner and playing around with it for the first time. (dive a classic)

Do you folks run plans with 1.25 Sp or follow the unit and run plans using 1.3 ??

planning a 75m/20min dive and seems to come out at 73mins using 1.25 and 69mins using 1.3

ps. any tips on getting this to mirror the VR3 set at 0 conservatism ??

thanks

ash

Re: v-planner question

You'll never get the VR3 to match the tables generated with VPlanner. I talked to Ross a while back about getting the two the mesh better and he told me to plan the dive in VPlanner to be 4 minutes longer then I was actually planning on and that should account for the 4 minutes worth of micro bubble stopps the VR3 will give you. In other words if you are planning a dive to 200 feet for 30 minutes run the profile in VPlanner as a dive to 200 feet for 34 minutes, leave the bottom at 30 minutes and complete the VR3's deep stops and then pick up the VPlanner schedual. I've dived the VR3 this way many times on OC and it's worked great. As I'm still new to CCR diving I haven't actually tried this diving on the Meg but the VR3 seems to operate the same way in OC as it does in CCR mode as far as the stops are concerned.

Re: v-planner question

I have found the best match between the VR3 w/ "VPM" and V-Planner settings of VPM - B/E w/ +3.

Dive Safe...

Re: v-planner question

Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm very happy with the way the VR3 and VPlanner tables have matched up so far. All I was saying is that you'll never get them to match up completely minute for minute.
