V-Planner on OS X via Crossover

Has anyone had any luck getting V-Planner to work on an intel Mac via Crossover? I have no problem getting it up an running through parallels, however I get an error message when I run it through crossover. I'd prefer running it via crossover, considering I don't have to start up the windows operating system.

Re: V-Planner on OS X via Crossover

sorry, i am mac purist

have u tried the mv-planer - which is a mac adaptation, just looking nicer.
i cant remember where i got it from, i think it is made by a Rebreather World member, just serch for mv-planer- you should get some hits.

I compared the results with GAP and it seemss very consistant, nice to use etc, just typically Mac.

Hope this helps

cheers
christian

Re: V-Planner on OS X via Crossover

I have MV-Planner and Nautilus, however I prefer v-planner - more functionality, more options. I have no problem running it in parallels, but parallels requires that I start up windows. Crossover - a great shareware program - lets you run windows applications within OS X without opening the windows OS. I just don't understand the fairly complicated (IMO) "bottles" method in which it does this and was hoping someone had an idea. I'll keep working on it and maybe figure it out.

Best,

I use V-planner with Paralles but everytime there is an update of Parallels, the BIOS is changed and V-planner requires a new password. After speaking with Ross, he granted me a couple of further serials. Now I run out them all. How is the serial handling with crossover? I don't want to get stuck with Parallels just because of V-planner

I had the same issue. Frustrating. I used v-planner for years on WinXP using virtual PC on a PowerPC mac (slow as hell, but got the job done) Parallels seemed like the ticket but for some reason it continually requires new credentials.

Interestingly, GAP has not required the same persistent updating of passwords - unless I do something like swap hard drives and re-install.

As much as I liked v-planner, I'm happy with GAP.
