hi Ebourzeix ! i've read on another site (plongeur ?) your doubt about the origin of "Caimano" name "CAIMANI NERI DEL PIAVE" was the nickname for Italian's Army volunteers swimmers, going by night across Piave river for recon or assault operations against Austrian's Army trenches during WW1 Caimano Nero (black) in Italian's language sounds really aggressive ... and the Caimano (a kind of Alligator) today is still on Comsubin emblem it was preferred to substitute the glorious (but too politicized) Decima MAS emblem after WW2 OMG ever linked to Military forces follows the heritage ... i hope this info can help ... just for couriosity ... sorry for the disturb and best regards ! friendly Norman
