![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Boosting gaz & filters Just curious how/if people out there filter gaz when pumping/boosting the "right grades" of gaz? I will be getting my Jetsam Baby soon & use it for both O2 & He. It now comes with a filter already if I'm not mistaken. I was thinking of adding a "personnal filter" (example here: http://www.bayeux-marine.com/compresseur/profp.php) upstream with one cartridge for O2 and one for He. Is it an overkill? Do you see any problems doing so? Other kinds of filters to propose? Best Philippe |

Not sure what those filters you linked to are supposed to do, but if you start out with "clean" gas to begin with there's no need for a filter for gas contaminants. The filter that comes with the baby booster now is meant to keep debris from clogging the system (things like teflon tape will muck up the works).I will be getting my Jetsam Baby soon & use it for both O2 & He. No, I don't but I use that kind of personnal filter when I have diluent filled from a shop other than a known/trusted source. But you're right these are downstream filters better used after a compressor. Just wanted to know if anyone tried them upstream.Best Philippe |

![]() ![]() | I've been using a nanobooster for about 9 months. I put the swagelock filter on it, but I think it's there to protect the booster rather than to protect the diver. I use a pure grade of He and aviator grade oxygen. All my air comes from a high quality compressor at my local dive shop. No problems at all. Jim G. Tampa |
