![]() ![]() ![]() | Mixmaster II, blending software questions Good day group: Is anyone familiar with the Mixmaster II blending software that is found within the Voyager deco software? It appears that Voyager is now defunct and gone. I am looking to get a copy of the blending software as a "stand-alone" application. Is it available without the need to have an unlock code to open it? (considering that Voyager is no longer in biz) In lieu of Mixmaster: Is there a mixing program that will allow the user to input a "blend" (example: 40%) in addition to the usual O2, He, air calculations? I am doing a comparison of deco, mixing and combined products for a research program. I'd appreciate any insights and assistance. Thanks!

Works fine for most things though it does not have banked helium gas as a mix (though does support continuous blend EANx). Hope this helps. I was also using Gas Management Program (when it, too was stand alone), and that works well, too. Are there any other good, simple programs out there that don't involve playing with spreadsheets and the like? I am looking for programs that allow pre-banked gas with Helium to be used. Thanks. |

There is gas calculator in the Vr3 that will do the calculations for Trimix or Nitrox and will also work out required mixes by setting the MaxD - EAND - PP02. This feature can be opened with a Pin number that costs about 45 bucks. Regards

We have used it in our club for more than 1000 fills the last 18 months. One of the few drawbacks is that tabbing between fields is rather unituitive. I have also attached a vDW mixing sheet that I am working on. The idea behind stems from a need to do several mixes in parallell. Try it out and give me feedback. It is lacking a clear button and a connection to our bookkeping and label printing system. /Sten |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Mixmaster II, blending software questions Ron! Hey! ya cheated death on I-5 again, huh? Mixmaster/Voyager is the only software (so far) that i have found that allows the use of a pre-blend of nitrox to be factored into the mixing process. That, is a nice design to the calculation. Randy

Gas Management Program also allows this plus even helium based top offs/continuous blend (I forgot about that until I just re-checked).Hey! ya cheated death on I-5 again, huh? I can't help with Mixmaster II but recommend Guy Wittig's Mixer which runs on Palm OS. It is very handy to have a small, calculator sized device that does the blending math. If I understand your question correctly, Mixer has the "blend" function. You enter the gas mix you have in one column and the final blend you want in the next one. When you press the calculate function, it gives the pressures of O2, helium and air to add to make your specified blend. It is very easy to use the program. It also has a "top up" screen if you want to take an existing mix and top it up with air. There is a "best mix" calculator as well. The user manual is easy to read and short. Here is a link to Wittig's page: Mixer for PalmPilot Steve

Randy the v-planner has 5 windows that do everything I have ever wanted a blending program to do, including the infamous "what if?" screen, you can top with a nitrox blend on one screen. any resolution on that thing we chatted about last week?
