TechBlue is an unknown quantity at this point
Hi Stefan,

The Hydraulic International pump is a great deal for the US no duties an shipping is about two thirds less. At the moment we don't have it up on the site but I would be happy to answer any inquiries. Phi this pump has the option and can be used either as gas or hand driven not either or.

Now, that's nice.

How much did you mention the cost of the pump ? And how much is the weight (for shipping cost estimation) ?

Actually, he only mentioned that the shipping and duties would be a lot less compared to bringing the Jetsam into the US. Not really a help to you, of course.

I am an "old-hand" at shipping expensive items internationally having lived in so many countries, so I don't pay VAT (or not very much of it if at all)... besides, I am a Jetsam dealer too so it will difficult to find a better deal than the Nanobooster for me, personally.

If your ONLY going to do CCR fills then the Kiss booster will work, one think I didn't like about it is the Reed valves in it. The Hydraulics International booster looks VERY nice and I think it will have Ball valves in it which is better and they are both about the same money if you buy them other than SDS. I have a VERY large Haskel and one of my friends just got the Hydraulics unit not from SDS and he got it for like $1500 :-), very well priced.

I started with a Jetsam Nanobooster for my CCR 3L, it is working fine but as people said if your source is below 50 bars then you are in for a long wait and a lot of air (use to drain a 15L @ 230bars). Then I had the opportunity to purchase an Haskel AGT 32/62 of the Paris fire brigade, this is a great piece kit and I can easily get 300 bars even with a source at 30 bars, I normally bring it down to about 10 bars before changing it. The only draw back on the haskel is the amount of air required to power the booster. I started with a little air compressor but no good, I finally manage to get the result I wanted by putting 6 air compressors in parallel. You can see my setup http://www.rebreatherphil.com/monhaskel.aspx

I keep the Nano for expedition boosting.
