rebreather oxygen booster (ROB) by UPD

Hi all,

I dive Evo and am one of those waiting patiently for a Jetsam baby booster.

I came to know, however, that Under Pressure Diving (UPD) in UK produces a new rebreather oxygen booster. I checked on their web site (UPD - Home Page) and found that its size and weight were about the same as those of the baby booster.

Has any rebreather diver, particularly in UK, used a ROB by UPD? How well does it work? Any comparison between the booster and Jetsam baby booster?

Re: rebreather oxygen booster (ROB) by UPD

I got an Expediton Mini booster from UPD a few weeks ago and am delighted with it. Great service support from Mark as well.
I'm driving mine with a shop compressor and have no problem getting fills to 250 bar (for dill / bailouts).

Cheers

if you dont mind me asking, how much was the booster?
did you buy the kit with hoses, case etc?

I have been looking at some boosters and this caught my eye with the exp booster and 232bar kit and case.

thanks
Gareth

Hi UKSteve and Dive!Dive!

Thank you both for your valuable info. I quite agree to the opinion that Mark at Gasdiving is a nice and reliable guy.

Re: rebreather oxygen booster (ROB) by UPD

They are great Boosters...but there again since we are the US distributor, we may be a little biased. These ROB Boosters sold by UPD are actually Maximator Gas Boosters made in Germany. Our price here is US1700.00 and always available. Go ahead any but it. It beats the Jetsam, Haskel Mini Booster etc any time. We can send you referals if you want them.
