HI Booster spares problem

I am having real trouble finding anyone who can supply a drive side seal kit for my 3G-SS-20 HI booster. I originally bought it from Tech Blue who seem to have disappeared. Does anyone know of a supplier would might be willing to ship to the UK?

Try Jakub at Golemgear. I got mine through Jakub.

I have had mine in for servicing at HI in California and have been dealing directly with the service people there. Try calling Roger at 818 407 3400 ext 109 he has been extremely helpful and should be able to help you.

Just to put this one to bed.

I regret the new dealer for HI in the UK (Yardbury Kinetics, Contact: Bob Glatley, (P)44-1224 826677,(F)44-1224 826310,Email: bob.glatley@yardbury.com) has failed to impress, twice promising to sort me out and then failing to make good. I had talked to HI head office in the past and hit the problem that their minimum order was way above the price of this seal kit. After reading the post from diverob I tried phoning Roger, who was very helpful and pointed me to a US dealer that had a lower minimum order. I successfully ordered from Randy J. Ghaemmaghami at:

The Fitting Source, Inc.
818-998-1528
818-998-0243 fax

Their charge was $35 vice $25 from HI, which I thought was fine, however, the UPS charge of $75 for a box with an 18gm pack of seals was a bit of a surprise! For those readers outside the UK, it would cost me about $12 (£6) to send a similar item (signed for) to the US.

Still service was swift, booster seals changed and pumping away like it was new.

Assuming The Fitting Source can come up with a more appropriate overseas posting method for very light small packets then they will be my choice of supplier in future.

Cheers,

Hi David,

It's really frustrating to have such an incident but I'm not suprised at all as I've been in such situation several times. But don't get mad, the dealerships monopoly is coming to an end thanks to globalization, the internet, and the Chinese.

Best Regards. Wael

shipping international by UPS can be pretty costly. for small items I generally try and ship it us mail (global)..
