Had mine pumping up AL80s of O2 until it was too hot to touch.....
So after being anally selecting a safe booster, you went and abused it ?

Ron, What you need to do is infuse some latent heat to keep the frost down........Like say, strapping a couple of cans of warm beer to it.

Booster has no frost and beer is nicely chilled.

That way you kill 2 birds with the one stone

It's a win, win situation.

And that ladies and gentlemen...is the word of the day!

Similiar subject but just a little off track, do most people use a bottled gas for their boosters or a smaller (Home Depot style) compressor?

Just switched from bottled gas to a small compressor. May-June, you could not find a 150 psi compressor (oil-less) for love nor money. Late August, they are now everywhere. I bought the Dewalt D55141 as it was best price for the features. It is able to drive the booster OK - I get 3000psi without problems, and the unit is able to keep up to the booster without difficulty.

I think I want to add a water separator to the system, just to be safe though.

Lots of 150 PSI oil-less shop compressors here in the US that will do the job... I bought mine from Sears a couple years ago for 300usd or so...

Works like a charm!

I just got a Dewalt 200psi oilless compressor for my birthday (what a wife!) to run my Jetsam. I still need to get a water/oil filter just to be safe. I was wondering what fittings people are using to convert from the standard air tool hose to the standard low pressure fitting and where did you find the fittings (part numbers would be great!)

I gave up trying to find scuba fittings here several months ago. You walk into 100% of the places around here with any SCUBA fitting and they look at you like you're from mars. HP stuff (2000 psi +) is worse.

Instead I used a 1/4" NPT to a barbed connector, and just cut the end off a spare LP inflator hose. Then add a hose clamp, inserted the barbed end and tightened a hose clamp over the end. It doesn't leak and works perfectly.
