![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | what to do with all my steel 120's is it possible to put these things to good use by creating a small O2 fill station and stage 4 bottles together....?? Fill Express...is not open on sundays.... so getting full O2 fills is not easy some days.... I have low pressure 19's so I only need to boost from 1500 to 2400... I could use another set to bank 21/35..... I am trying not to have to invest 3 K in a booster pump ..... was just hopeing to get enough stuff to string them together with some fill whips. thanks BAM |

Just have a shop with an O2 Booster fill them to 3500 with O2 or as high as the shop is willing to go on O2. Some shops won't fill them that high but I believe Fill Express will. There was a thread on fill pressures for O2 and I think the end result was there wasn't a problem filling O2 to that pressure as long as it's done S-l-o-w-l-y! No real need to bank them together....Just transfill in order... from the lowest pressure to the highest. I will also say that the mini boosters are very nice to have... ![]() Richie |

With this kind of bank you can make most anything you need. As the heliox pressure drops, add air to make the volume. Decompression differences will be negligable. For oxygen just fill to rated pressure, once you get to where you cannot get 1500 psi or more then get it refilled. Or transfill as much as you can into a 40 cuft bottle and top with air for a bail out gas. If you use these cylinders for "bank" bottles you can then add a small Jetsam booster and you can get maximum advantage of the gas. But the gas is so cheap at this point all you need is a simple transfil whip and a TDL TekCheck oxygen/helium analyzer and you are golden! Conisder getting some Alum 14s (2015 psi rates) or some LP-13s at 2400 psi as well. Good luck JDS

If, like me, you keep it simple and in your case, always use 21/35, it easier to bank 21/35 and not worry about what the mix is by blending down. I use always use a 20/50 mix and it will cover anything I do up to 170', which is about my maximum planned depth limit for this year. I'm a newbie so I haven't been below 135' with the unit yet, but I plan to hit a few in the 160' range by the end of the season if all goes well. Richie |
