Unhappy Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

I have been using a baby booster for the last year with no problems but I connected it today & it just sits there doing nothing .
I have 150 in the supply J & 150 bar in my cylinder (originally had 130 in cylinder) I have 250 bar in the drive gas cylinder. I have changed regs on the drive cylinder .yes I have made sure everything is turned on in the correct order :- J then my cylinder then the drive gas but still nothing .
Anybody else had this problem ? any ideas ?

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

I would strip it down and take a look. There's a manual on the Jetsam site that breaks the components down. Sounds like the piston may have seized in the cylinder.

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

Probably crap on the reeds.
The manual goes into this in some detail.
My booster needs this every three months or so....

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

hi paul yes hp piston moves manually .
the pressure in the drive gas is 230 bar ,have also tried a different cylinder with 300 bar in .the ip of the first stage is set to 10 bar (use it for my jetstreams )

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

Is the drive gas being vented when you're trying to boost?

Perhaps it's an issue with the Humphrey valve. Have you contacted Jetsam yet?

No gas being vented

Not yet contacted jetsam as it only started this problem about 4 hours ago & I was hoping it might be something simple

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

Have stripped it again & with the hp head removed I cannot remove the hp bushing even following the manual & connecting the drive gas & nothing happens , no piston movement also if you remove the plug & spring for PV1 the poppet stays in & will not move

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

I've had the HP piston stop on mine a couple of times.

What I did was remove one end of the black plastic tubing (tube runs between the two alum plates that the LP piston cycles between) that runs up to the ball check valve on the HP side of the LP piston (the other tube on the other side is for the muffler, that shouldn't be the problem ). Remove the tube by pushing down on the red plastic ring on the tubing feeds through and pull the tube out at the same time. Then by putting my finger over the tubing and releasing it I was able to manually cycle the piston. Once I verified that it would work this way I removed the cover from the check valve (be careful, there is a spring and a very small ball bearing in there!) and cleaned everything out. I've had to do this twice but the unit works fine now.
