Once I verified that it would work this way I removed the cover from the check valve (be careful, there is a spring and a very small ball bearing in there!) and cleaned everything out. I've had to do this twice but the unit works fine now.

Are you meaning the Humphry valve that
"You are not to touch under any circumstances "?

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

the jetasm booster screws up in only a couple of ways. the hp displacement rod sticks in the hp bushing. and the unit can not go to full cycle. The other problem it that that the Humphrey valve sticks. not allowing the cylinder to cycle.take th rear end off the air section and the head off the o2 section and check for full stroke. if you are getting full stroke that tear down the shuttle valve

Nope, I haven't even thought of touching that item!!!!

The check valve I was talking about is on the plate between the LP and HP cylinders and has a small threaded bolt covering the spring/BB.

Good luck getting it working again, just be patient and follow the manual's troubleshooting guide.

must be different on mine it has a "poppet" instead of a ball bearing otherwise called PV1 & PV2 in the manual

Unhappy Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

Well the saga continues I lent my booster to a good friend .Have just spoken to him & he had no problems with it so the only difference is :- the supply cylinder ( tried 3 different cylinders ) or the set of regs I'm using ( tried 2 different sets )
He is using an Apeks set ,I have tried a scubapro set & a posieden jetstream set .My Scubapro's haven't been serviced in 3 years so I can accept they might be no good but the Jetstreams have only just been serviced .I also checked the IP pressure on both sets of mine with 3 different gauges & they all showed 10 bar .
So I am no further forward & am totally confused
Any body else any the wiser ?
come next week I will go to my friends with my regs & try it before it's moved !

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

Did the sets have different inflator hoses or did you swap the original between regs. It might simply be the hose (or not just thought of this one)

Cheers,
Paul

Re: Jetsam Baby booster stalling .

Thanks for the thought Paul
My friends set of regs is all his none of mine but my 2 sets are complete sets so I tried 2 different hoses also I have used both sets before to run the booster with no problems
