Decanting calculation

I hope someone can help me with a formula for decanting into another cylinder. I tried to look through my TDI manual but didnt find anything, so how do I work out the BAR drop in pressure in my supply cylinder for a known amount wanted in the diving cylinder I am decanting into? this is so that I can work out if i have enough supply gas for mixing Heliar (for instance) and then I know before starting that I have enough He to mix a couple of 3 litres with 19% heliar

Re: Decanting calculation

I know that I need 132litres of gas for a 17% heliair (He to 44BAR in a 3 litre) so I know that if I then divide 132 by the volume of my supply cylinder then that is what the BAR will drop by. All in wanted to know is how do I express that working out in a formula, algebra never was my best subject at school.

p.s. If I am wrong in my calculations, it may be because I use a computer based program to work out the blending and I have forgotten the calculation. If that upsets one of the "self-appointed Dive Gods" on the website, TOUGH!
