![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi all. Thought this might be the best place to post this question. I have 3 BAIL OUT BOTTLES of for when the sh!t hits the fan: I have 1x 11L ally of 02, 1x 11L ally of 50%, 1x 7L steelie of trimix gas. All were fill back in dec 2004 yep 2004 by my LDS (very clean fill station)Was going to use the 50% as a deco on a OC dive to 40 odd msw(a) does the gas go off ? (b) toxic, Dump It Now ? (c) Don't be a girlyman suck it dry This was not filled by a backyarder but a Very Clean Fill Station. Rickoz

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thats what i thought but a mate got SICK during a dive using a tank stored for some time, no way as long as mine but he does fill his own tanks with his little oil burner compressor Rickoz

It won't get to become good but it might get fractionally better. I cannot see a formula for it getting worse. The only gas that 'goes off' is over pressurised acetylene. Use enough pressure and it is a high explosive, detonating on a shock wave without needing an oxidant. That's why I have 'spark' (ie shock) arrestors on my welding gear.
