In my case, I had the opportunity to buy a low hour compressor at a discount over the new unit. But I could not confirm that it was actually had six hours - the military units normally do not have hour meters. I opted for the new unit. I was rather lucky because the the compressor shop is local and I could see the actual compressors. I have seen many on eBay represented as rebuilt, but it is difficult to qualify what parts were actually replaced or serviced.
