My compressor even set to 10 bar struggles to get above 200bar but then really that's only and issue when filling my bailouts and for that I'm willing to pump the last bit using a reg to help out the compressor. It's the flow rate rather than pressure which causes the problem.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Compressor for running my Booster It doesn’t mater, as the booster is vented and separate between the O/2 side and the drive gas side. So filters in the drive gas side are not needed. True - the boost side is separate from the drive side, so that's not a big issue.Later Paul However, the drive specs may or may not like oil-driven compressors. I don't know the drive gas requirements for for a Haskall or an HI, so maybe they are OK. Still, I'd filter the heck out of the drive gas. The Jetsam was designed to be driven by Grade "E" dive gas - a scuba tank connected to a 1st stage, then an LP hose to the baby booster. When I talked to them, they were not willing to endorse any compressor drive, but I know many (including now myself) who use the oil-less 150psi portable compressors to drive them without a problem. Even at that, I use a water trap and filter to keep water out of the booster valves and piston. Cheers, -S |

![]() | Re: Compressor for running my Booster hello Jimmer, That's just the rated volume output (SCFM) at 100 PSI since most shop tools operate around that pressure. I fill the 60 gallon reservoir of mine to 175-180 PSI, and could push higher if I wanted to.isn't this too low? 100 psi if i read correct? well, what booster are we talking about here? I haven't decided what I want in a booster yet, still on the fence over if I want a portable rebreather size unit, like the Haskel mini sport, or the HI rebreather unit, or something that can more easily do gas mixing in my big 130cf doubles. |
