The needle valve kept the flow rate down, and everything went fine. The only thing that surprised me was the NOISE !!! During the 20 minute fill, I had every note from A flat to E sharp, and at one stage, some sort of resonance occurred, and the whole thing sounded like the bit in 'Das Boot' when the pressure hull was about to implode ! I mean, it was LOUD !! Is this normal . |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Which 02 Decanting Hose Kit According to Keller the ECO1 is NOT suited for O2 use. They have another version (ECO2) that is suited for oxygen use - it's about 25 EUR/15£ more expensive. Maybe it's just a form of 'dive-tax' but I decided to buy the ECO2 anyway... That's odd cos they told me it was but the adapter (which you don't use) would need to be O2 cleaned. The ECO1 was also the gauge supplied as part of the SAP digital blending setup.steven |

If so how many trans fills can you get from the 80 if your 13's are down to say 500psi before you cant get a decent fill. Kevin, Thanks Kevin the 13's are AP's, rated to 2,700 psi. We have two 13's for o2 per evo. the 80 is rated to 3,300 psi. On the first go round I get a complete fill on one set and put them aside for when I truly need full fills. then I get a fill to something like 2,300 psi. dive them down to about 400 psi and refill. Once the 80 gets down to 1,000 or when i need both sets filled to 2700, i go back for top off's of the 80. Our dives around here in the cold pacific north west waters are about 90 min tops. I believe I get 6-10 fills betweeen top offs. Have considered o2 cleaning another one of my al 80's to have it on stand by for higher pressure top offs but have not had the need yet. this works for us because our dives are not super long...if we were doing really long dives with larger tanks weed need a booster.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Which 02 Decanting Hose Kit fwiw, Ron has a nice setup - I'm quite happy with mine. here is a pic of the deluxe kit with a digital gauge. My analog gauges are in PSI, but I can get BAR for additional monies. For $718 I can do the kit with a multi unit digital gauge that does BAR, as well as 7 other chinese languages. ![]() this pic is old, I am using Ashcroft gauges and a much better needle valve now from Parker. |
