![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hammerhead mCCR orifice Any ideas what the HH is using as an orifice...? Is this an off the shelf part available from other sources, i.e. McMaster, etc... I imagine GG will stock once all the HH items eventualy show up on their site... The previous owner of my new meg had a LP port inserted into the exhale "T" and used a needle valve to provide mCCR capabilities in addition to solenoid... Just wonering what options and flexibility I have for future tweaking... Originally I wanted a COPIS, but the deal was too good to pass up... -Tim |

My understanding from Kevin is a ruby jewel orifice, available in several different sizes, and an ambient pressure blocked 1st stage. The sizes differences allowing for greater intermediate pressures for those planning on going deeper with the unit The previous owner of my new meg had a LP port inserted into the exhale "T" and used a needle valve to provide mCCR capabilities in addition to solenoid... We will be able to fly the unit mccr and have the eccr as a back up on the Rebreather .Ted

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Hammerhead mCCR orifice I'm pretty sure you can purchase a COPIS orifice off the shelf from ISC. It's just a hose inline part and I'm sure it's not that expensive. If you go that route, please let me know how it works out. I've been pondering about that too. Tibby

Florida caves. He related one crap moment going through Rocky Horror in Madison Blue where it rolled the pO2 up quite a bit before he noticed. |

I just can't imagine being any more connected to the process than actual po2 from the HUD always right in front of my eyes and the injector/needle valve right there in the hand. but I have a lot research to do before I am ready to go for it. ok, back to orifices, sorry for the hijack. g The previous owners needle valve was from Gorilla Diving... you can google them or just add ".com" for additional details. It is a standard ruby orifice couppled with 60micron filter and QD on one side and elbow with 9/16-18" F thread on the other side. I'll post some pictures shortly. Got a whole bunch of them here.
