Re: BTS-saw new OMS/Grey Wolf

anyone have some pictures..

also curious...why have a display requiring no batteries, yet have solonoid operation for both o2 and diluent?...seems to be a step in the right direction, and the wrong direction at the same time..keep it all simple/mechanical, or go ultra-complex..I dont see the value in mix and match with these particular features...basically taking away one thing to go wrong, but adding another. At least keep diluent injection manual/mechanical via ADV..hasnt failed anyone as of yet

Errr..... I respectfully disagree. It took the prize as "Neatest Rebreather in Show".

I was impressed, spent two hours with Dave going over the details, and will likely be assisting the design effort.

Layout is impressive, and the chassis, which is done, is awesome. It has some excellent design features, sensor dluent flooding, fluid filled electronics chamber, 4 cells in the main cell bay, etc. Just neat industrial design.

Dave

Manual add valves in the lungs are a 5 minute deal.

The elecronics are not even close to being finished, I'd not even take what we saw as any sort of data point. The chassis rocks!

Agree about the chassis. Looked like an interesting unit although the shape is a tad well ummm, phallic.

Damn, wish I had stopped in @ Golem to see the dual BOV. Saw some BOV's as I passed by but they didn't grab my attention and draw me in. Did they have a price set? What did the layout look like in terms of bailout reg placement versus the two loop connections?

Here are a couple of pics of the OMS:

Yes, sadly.... but as we all know, Meg's and YBOD's can have new lungs made. I didn't even really look at the lungs, we spent the entire time poking into the head, which looks like a work of art inside. Just gorgeous.
