![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Colkan Eagle The Eagle has landed----well almost. Another 2 months before the release to the market so I was told by the manufacturer at OzTek. Which was a beauty by the way. Some happy snaps to preview a fine Aussie product. Please forgive the quality of shots, I lost my glasses on the bus & could not focus on the focus. Old age sucks. Eccr & MCCR units were displayed. Shot 3 & 4 of the internals are the needle valve MCCR. Last shot Sub Sea Po2 displays & manual dil add

And I have to agree with you... ![]() I still have back pain from trying to reach the top tank valve on the BMR-500, so I hope the reach is better on the Eagle. The other unit it reminds me off is a really crappy "MK-15" unit that Joe D put together from missing parts to sell on eBay, and he slapped a tank horizontal across the space where the spheres were supposed to be. And I think he sold it too... ![]()

And I think he sold it too... I don't think Joe sold it. I did a dive with John Rooney the other day, and he was diving a "long-term loaner" from Joe that was set up the same way. It was a thing of beauty...but hey...whatever works!![]() Aloha, Charlie

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Colkan Eagle Some more in water testing is during the next couple months so I was told by Kain. So the performance is unknown by me. Why it looks like a Mk is because Colin has a long history working with these units & still does. Refurbishing a lot of the old units back to near new. Costs are low compared to many of the ECCR on the market & best to ask the man himself for a quote. I reckon they will sell like hotcakes. I was surprised with how light it was on my back & was impressed with it. How many Kg, I didn't ask but should be good for travelling O/S I'm aware the training will be with Bazza @ southern cross divers in Sydney. Kain also said a website for them should be up soon.

Not trying to be mean or anything, just to me it looks more like, very prettied up, but still w/ cover attachment and hose connection position:Nicer for sure, but still ... ... in the pix, anyway. ![]()

If you can retrofit a Mark 15 into a 15.5, there's no reason you couldn't make an awesome rebreather from another is there? Does anyone know how the dome attaches? I think you won the "Name That Tune!" prize... ![]() From what I've heard (and I'll soon find out for myself) the Colkan secondary display that is on this unit is the $hit (in a good way).

This old fella had no dramas reaching back so I younger agile fella shouldn't either Apart from picking on the likeness to the Bio, was there any problem/ short comings with that design that we could be enlightened on. ![]()
