| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Just curious if anyone knows what the center pin is for on the molex connector on the R22D oxygen cell? Is it actually wired into the cell's circuit board? One would assume it would be for something... but it appears all the PPO2 meters only use the outer two pins. I guess it could be just to hold the connector more securely or to utilze a well known connector (molex) but all the O2 cell manufacturers seem to put the center pin in... ![]() Thanks, Ryan |

Is it actually wired into the cell's circuit board? Take a peek at the attached drawing from the Teledyne site. If you look carefully at the top left corner of the drawing you will see a note that says "not for customer connection". If you put a volt meter on it, there seems to be a signal present. Just a guess on my part, but suspect it might be a signal not 'conditioned' by whatever compensation circuitry is built into cell. One would assume it would be for something... but it appears all the PPO2 meters only use the outer two pins. | New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Center pin on Oxygen Cell Molex Connector Skipb, thanks for the drawing and response... Teledyne makes it pretty clear that it's not for "our" use... I wonder if it has anything to do with the temperature compensation circuity or maybe related to a quaility check performed in the factory.?! So the inquiry continues... Any other thoughts? |
