What is "Full Scale" for a rebreather cell?

They say there are no dumb questions, well "they" are wrong. It never stops me from asking anyway.

For the last day or so I have been trying to find a reference from the one of the cell manufacturers that explains what the specification "X% of Full Scale" actually means.

I am waffling between full scale being 0-100% (0-1 ppO2), or a wider range than that. We are using cells at partial pressures in the 1.0 to 1.4 range and testing in a pot to 2.0 and above. Is a partial pressure of 2.0 the upper end of full scale?

The definition is probably more complicated than above, could someone enlighten me?

FSD is the whole range of reading. Accuracies are normally quoted against that. Think of a meter with a pointer. Full scale is, well, full scale.

For the cells for the Inspiration the Telidyne spec says 0-2bar and 2% (well it did in 2000) so +/-0.04bar of any reading.
