Coax vs Molex

Hi all,

Just a newbies question.
COuld anyone please describe and/or show pictures of Molex and coax connector. I'm interested in the difference and pros and cons...

It certanly looks like the SMB connector is more robust and the connectors are more protected.
In case of a major service would it be a good idea to change to SMB connectors? I assume the sensors are the same...

Hi Soren,

From what I know, if you change your loom you get SMB anyway, as that is how it is done now. The consensus seems to be that if you don't have problems, don't change until you do.

The sensors are not the same, as one has Molex and the other the coax connection that the SMB fits onto.
