PPO2 logger

Hello,

I would like to build a PPO2 logger able to record a PPO2 profile at a given sampling rate from a R22D cell. I was thinking to do that with an USB logger such that the LASCAR ELECTRONICS EL-USB one. Does anyone have a better idea to do that? Does anyone have already built such a logger?

Thanks!

Fred.

I know little about Lascar but I have used Hobo loggers for instrumentation for some time.....they are easy to use and if you remove the case the board is easy to put into a project....The unit I use is the indoor model.

A US penny for scale.

The mini USB port is at the bottom of the board.

onset computing is the builder

Fred I'm not sure if its what you are after but the software on the 2007 version of the VR3 does this in conjunction with the new version of Delta P's download & planning software.

This is a new windows based programme which gives a read out of each of the cells on the kiss or meg or the P02 of a 4th cell and cylinder pressure info
on the Inspo.

The new download stuff gives a lot of useful info. I've been impressed with it so far. It should be on the market soon.

As I say, not sure if it helps but hope it does

Re: PPO2 logger

Thanks Tom and Alan,

I'm thinking that I need to record the depth together with the ppO2 in order to be able to draw the ppo2 curve wrt the depth ... So my project becomes more ambitious ...

If you look at the picture of the logger, you will see multiple inputs on the right side of the board. In my application I am logging at 15 second intervals for a week...just one parameter......Two parameters would be logged for three days. Shorten the time and you can shorten the gap between measurements. About 40,000 measurements and the device is full.

The output is date and time logged and drops into an excell spreadsheet with the supplied software.

Hi Tom,

Do you please confirm that I have to choose the HOBO U12 4-Channel external Data Logger (ref #U-12-006)?

Other question Tom: do you have the reference of a sensor for underwater pressure measurement in mind?

Thats the one......

I have not played with pressure sensors except for high resolution low pressure [less than 1/2 bar for racing submarine depth controls] so have nothing really to add to that part of the problem. Bet Bruce Partridge or Gene Melton can help.

Sorry
Tom
