| Re: V4Tec / BOV a big up to Stagonset I will take the pictures tonight and post them... Here are the pics...First one shows the older V4TEC hose end adapter (left) and new (right). The new one is slightly shorter, but has deeper grooves to hold the hose better. Remember that Peter recommends using zip ties to secure. However, I made a slight mod to use the (almost) standard Insp parts in place of the zip ties... The next picture is showing the modified split parts that hold the hose. I had to cut off the 90-deg bend at the end in order for them to fit the adapter came with the V4TEC. I didn't have the patience to grind the ID bigger until it fits... Next is to lay everything out as how you would install the normal APD hose connector. The small ring goes on the hose, then insert the V3TEC hose end into the hose - making sure that the corrugated section goes over both grooves. Slap the 2 split parts over the hose (as normal), then screw the small ring over them (as normal). Keep in mind that the hose is NOT as secured as the original Inspiration, but still VERY secured - I can't pull the hose off with a lot of force. It is a little more secured than zip ties since it can't pop off accidentally like zip ties. Use this at your own risk!
