Anyway, Michael, my experience of an OC/DSV (read BOV) was a Bob Howell I had on my Inspo 3 or so years ago that I then sold on.... Anyway, I used to connect my OC/DSV to my stage cylinder via a quick connect. It is not a good idea IMHO to have it plugged into your diluent, I use my rebreather to rebreathe. Don't use one anymore, they are good, but what with teaching I keep my DSV as standard where possible. Cheers, Dave Cooper.

Hi Dave,Interesting that you should take that approach. I personally run my OC/CC DSV straight from my dil. I believe that the DSV is a great transition tool rather than a complete bailout option. I don't use any QDs for simplicity and have all of my bailout tanks fitted with LP inflator hoses so they can be plugged into the lungs if need be. Let's have a fight about who is right ![]()

I use the omniswiwel for hose routing and/or a quickconnect to give me optionsOmniswivel Quick disconnect for BOV or second stage regulator. |
