Re: Which BOV?

I also recommend the Golem Gear BOV. I had opportunity to test it out at 100m a week ago & it worked perfectly. Once it is set right on the hoses (which is easy to do) it is well balanced & feels pretty neutral. WOB in CC or OC mode are both great.

Some more praise for the Divematics. You can also fit ANY reg you like, just spec when ordering. Perfect poz and neg. Great piece of kit.

Re: Which BOV?

Both the Golem and Divematics look REALLY nice but damn they're EXPENSIVE! $900ish+ for a DSV?! I realize there's a standard second stage in there that the parts have to come from (so that's money burnt building it) but geez - that still seems dang pricey.

The new Jetsam one looks really nice and is more reasonable - but "unobtanium" at present for people who want one without the rest of the KISS to go with it

I'm absolutely in the market for one of these but I'm inclined to attempt making one before I shell out the asking price for what's on the market right now; I'd pay what Jetsam wants but with no stock that doesn't work either!

Re: Which BOV?

I've been on the Jetsam waiting list for something like a year now, and "renewed" my request when the new style (with the Mares reg) was announced.

Saw one "in the flesh" last night at the Rebreather World party and that just make me want it more...

If you know the secret incantation to get one, let me know what it is!

I know Kim has been selling the KISS units like hot cakes, so given a choice of higher ROI on selling a complete unit or just the BOV... However, I know it was available when I inquired about them for someone.

I guess the timing has to be right as well, who knows...

Re: Which BOV?

Hello Rebreathers - Excuses that I answer only now. This mouthpiece “was sketched” by the Schweitzer Rebi- diver Michael Kirch. It had itself at that time a Krolac (?) - Mouthpiece bought and was however disappointed of the quality. Not well enough were finished and it had the knowledge and the possibilities of improving the existing weak points and of refining certain things. Matthias Pfister, which builds today the PASCR - RON, has appropriate permission for producing these mouthpieces for cycle devices. I dip also a PASCR with this mouthpiece it am neutral in the lift behavior and contain a ATX50 stage as open circit. I am absolutely content!
Also little exercise is it with a hand operated however it can Matthias also in your homeland language write, it to you each question will satisfyingly answer.

Re: Which BOV?

Having decided on the Divematics BOV, due to being able to take my cyclon 2nd stage (and being cheaper than the Golum), I now can't seem to get hold of anyone in order to place an order.
2 e-mails to divematics@divenet.... have gone unanswered.
Does anyone have any alternate contact info for them, or should I be concerned that this is indicative of their responsiveness?

Thanks, Paul

Re: Which BOV?

Hello,

I ordered a Golemgear BOV after reading comments here and other areas. Cedric's comments, along with his helpful info on M48 masks and the Meg gave solid credence to the combination. It seems there are a number of options but the balanced to me seemed to swing towards them.

Divematics was a close second, but their website is a mess. Good internet sites to me help show a professional approach to business and made ordering the Golemgear BOV so very easy.

Golemgear also donated raffle prizes for Rebreather World party, which definately helped show they support, what is to me, an important community.
