What you mean apart from it exploding several times and causing him to have to borrow regulators to do the dives? Dodgy valve seats I beleive was the standard problem. Ask Andyp If I remember corectly he had three explode in under six months from new

Errrrrrr before you chose this reg have a word with Andyp He switched all his Apex regs for the very very expensive Extreems and now he has got rid of them and gone back to Apex.

Personaly i miss the extreems as the bang when they were gassed up made most of the divers leep off the boat thus freeing up bench space and Andyp taught me how to sware in several languages having run out of suitable english expleetives to discribe them as they exploded for the umptenth time.

I love my xtremes... Never had any problems with them.. Breaths a hell of alot better than my Apeks regs... All my apeks regs have been delegated to backup service (except those on my Rebreather - although soon to be replaced with xtreme firsts)..

I only switches to Apeks at the time because of the difficulty with the last poseidon distributor in the us

The Pop sound has always been around on these servo type regs.. if it spooks you just hold your hand over the mouthpiece when pressureizing and the "pop" is almost non existent..

Mine too, cant think of another regulator that has givrn me such unflinching service.
Self servicable too.

I have fitted a Xstream to my divematics BOV & no need to buy a new adaptor, file some of the "lip" off the Xstream and it will fit in to the standard Omega adaptor

Hi,

Well, I'm not really sure how many of you guys have experienced a free flowing regulator with the X-Stream regulator but once you have it then you don't want to be in that situation again.

Re: Which reg on a Divematics BOV ?

Hi,

I got my Divematics BOV today, and I'm wondering what other divers have used in order to seal it to the Apeks ATX200? Any special or recommended type of sealant to be used? I would appreciate some tips.
