Hi,

I've uploaded some pictures of Golem Gear BOV installed on a Meg. See in Gallery. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.

I just need it for sanitybreathts and while I reach for my offboard bailout...
Heard of many divers experiencing CO2 problems but just cant leave the loop because they suffer from airstarvation and cant make themselves take the reg out
I have heard good things about the Golem BOV and would like to give it a go but its so expensive having it shipped to europe...
Anyone seen some pics of it mountaid on a Meg?

Cheers

Is it possible to get it with lowpreassurehose running upp your left hose?(closest way to dil-tank)

Do you have a pic of it on your Meg?

Thanx for your input!

Rodge,

You can run the hose from the Golem BOV on either side. There are some pics of the config for my inspiration in the article that's posted. While I have been doing 2.5 hour dives with it I have not had any major fatigue issues. I have also swapped the mouthpiece with a SeaCure.

Re: What BOV do you have on your Meg?

As a brush up on skills, I did a 220 minutes dive recently. The GolemGear BOV felt as comftable as on a 20 min dive. Once you get the hose weights positioned correctly, there is no stress on your jaw.
I use an old RiteBite mouthpiece, it feels better on long dives for me.

When changing to the BOV, I did notice that it takes less moisture to make it gurgle. Kinda annoying at first, but fast to clear the water out anyways.

I'm very happy with the GolemGear and 3 of my regular buddies has added that BOV to their setup in the last month. I know of 4 others that is thinking about doing the same.

Cheers
Johnny

I am going with Golem http://www.golemgear.com/pc-245-15-r...--clamped.aspx or the V4Tec http://www.blackgear.net/index.php?o...mid=68&lang=en both use Apeks wich I want and come prepared for the Meg.......

Why does the BOV need to have an inline shut-off?

It doesn't need one. I need to get a hose that is 2" longer....it's been ordered, but not yet received.

Well my only other choices were:

- not dive
- not turn my head to the left

I'm not above employing some "found object engineering" when required.
