Re: divematics BOV regulator question

I've seen them with the Omega, TX 100, Poseidon (Extreme I think, the li'l one).
If you have a particular in mind ask Tracy or I can ask him for you.

Tracy has adapters for several different regs..
The normal one is the oceanic omega, I know he has adapters for the odin(jetstream) and the xtream (they use different adapters)

I have one with the xtreme not that I use the BOV at the moment, I will use it should I get another FFM....

Greetings. I just installed Tracy's product with the Omega, for use on a Dolphin. The service was first class, the customer contact intimate, and the product was built like a true jewel......

It took a few weeks for him to build, but it was certainly worth the wait!

Best regards,

John

Re: divematics BOV regulator question

What would be the smallest regulator that still provides good performance? Tracy has some problems with sourcing the Oceanic Omegas and I'm looking at alternatives.

The Poseidon Extreme has a pretty flat profile, I use these for OC diving, and have been happy with them...Some people have rasied concerns about the cover for the exhale diaphram can be knocked off by mistake, but I have not seen this first hand....My thinking is that even though this is an expensive regulator, I would rather spend the money as this is the back-up we would use, if we have to...

Best regards,

John

Is the thread on the Poseidon Extreme the same as on other regulators?

The thread is interchangable with the Jetstream, but this is for the LP hose. I can't comment on other Poseidon products. I have both versions, and have interchanged the Extreme with the Jetstream and vice-versa. However, the LP hoses are specifically sized for their own products, and are not interchangeable with most other regulators that I am familar with. Having said that, I have enjoyed both products as they are simple, but robust...)

OC only!

Hope this helps!

Thanks John,

that rules out the Poseidons for me. I like things to be standard.

What I recommed is getting the jetstream/xtreme omniswivel (it can be purchased with or without the OPV build in).. this allows the 2nd to be used confortably and converts it to a common 2nd stage connection..
