You don't say what you have at the moment. The original Paragon is pretty grim, in my opinion the Mares is significantly better - but still not great. The Golem BOV is better still - no numbers to back that up, just a personal observation. cheers andy Andy |

| Classic KISSer | Re: bov - wob figures My KISS BOV had the nasty paragon 2nd stage at first, you cold breathe from it, even at 80m, but you really didn't WANT to. I changed it over to a Mares 2nd stage, and the OC part was significantly better. My perception of WOB on CC was of breathing with my tongue in the way ALL the time. In a sense it kept me from going gung ho at times, but it wasn't great breathing. AP BOV that I later put on was an order of magnitude better to my senses. JJ BOV is similar. Bottom line is the old version of the KISS BOV, as ground breaking as it was for its day, isn't all that flash by today's standards. Anything is pretty much an improvement. cheers Andy |

I used a Aqualung Mikron.![]() Only thing i'm not impressed with with the KISS BOV are the one way valves... definate gona make new ones with better flappers... or... maybe get a golemgear BOV ![]() //Andreas Then I removed the flapper valves and replaced them with the ones out of my rEvo DSV ( Draegar). This was a huge improvement. But I would still prefer a Shrimp. |

| Re: bov - wob figures Thanks Packhorse! New spools need to be machined although no mods to the BOV its self need to be made.Any tips of what you needed to modify to fit the Draeger flappers? //Andreas Since the pics in the following thread were taken I had reduced the length of the spools. http://www.rebreatherworld.com/bail-...mp-my-bov.html |
