Golem BOV Purge Button Fix?

The Golem BOV seems to have a problem with the rubber purge button cap falling off and getting lost. It happened to me in the past and on the weekend happened to a friend.

Replacements are $39.00 (holy moly) for the 1 1/2 inch diameter piece of rubber.

Has anyone found a way to keep this rubber cap from falling off but maintain its functionality?

Has anyone found a more cost effective replacement?

What un-natural acts are you and your friends doing with your BOVs?

Mine gets plenty rough treatment without ejecting it's cap...

Your are right about that... But knowing what great products Golem Gear makes, John is going to have to come clean on this so that Jakub can be given a fair chance to do the proper testing.....

I picked up a replacement from Interspiro directly. This cost me £16 delivered in the UK. Dont know if you have an Interspiro dealer near you?
It might save you a bit of money (not a lot). They were cheaper for the diaphragm and diaphragm assemblies as well.

The one I picked up from Interspiro just seemed to fit better than the previous one and I didn't think it would fall out.

Its nothing to do with the diver. Its a quality controle / tolerances issue. My one has never fallen off, Howards falls off all the time.

Spares for the Golum are stupidly expensive.

Don't let them beat up on you - I've been there too. Doesn't take much for that little rubber second-stage purge button to go into hiding. The replacement price is just down right stupid. Hope there is another source
