Divematics BOV

Simple question, are they any good and is Tracey still making them?

Cheers,

Stuart

Good? Yes.
Wob? Not tested.
Tracy still making them? Don't think so. I have been waiting for over 9 months to get spare parts and he doesn't reply to emails.

I emailed them a month or so ago and had a response within 2 days. It was just an enquiry about the BOVs which received a fairly stock reply.

Hey stuart.. I love my divematics BOV.. Tracy can be difficult to contact at time.. I have never had problems (I have his private cell number) but I know other have had problems at times.. The quality is tp notch and its very easy to service..

For about 2 years or so Tracy was dealing with personal issues and last time I spoke with him (april) he was mostly sorted out.. I saw him in person atthe end of march and I know he hand delievered about 5 units at BTS (end of march) to customers..

Hi Stuart, I had one with a Scubapro reg. It was well made and Tracey was easy to deal with, best by phone. He delivered the BOV on time. The flappers seem to be the biggest diameter and thinnest of any of the BOVs. He is very knowledgeable about BOV's and CCRs in general. -Andy

The BOVs use Inspiration one way valves.. So they are very easy to get spares..

the orings used in the BOV are size 029 V70 (must be viton as delrin eats up BN)

Re: Divematics BOV

Stuart, just got off the phone with Tracy. He's a friend of mine so we talk quite regularly.

I reached him at his office number. Best time to reach him is usually in the morning, between 9 am and noon Pacific Standard Time. When calling it's important to let the phone ring for a while as it relays from the land line to his cel phone whenever he's out of the office (including his shop where he spends much of his time). And indeed, he still makes the DSVs and BOVs.

Good luck.
