Brent you are doing a good job of swaying me away from your divematics !
No BOV I have ever tested breathes as well as that divematics mate. Truth and fact. You can service it yourself, with readily available parts and it gives a perfect pos and neg test.
There is no doubt its a very, very good BOV.

However... The APD design has merits, as much as I am an opinionated git, I do try to give a balanced opinion!!!!

(using the force) " Buy my BOV, it is the BOV your looking for....."

APs BOV looks compact and light weight which is a good thing.

It also looks to be a two handed op to switch to OC which is a bad thing.

If it can be done one handed it may well be on my shopping list.

Re: Thoughts on AP's new BOV Twist hoses Or Turn knob ?

I had one in my hot little hands while doing my instructor course and it is very nicely made. The opening and closing should be able to be accomplished with one hand with very little practice, but will be easier with 2.

As for jaw fatigue it was a concern of mine but the action from CC to OC is not as great as the current DSV to open/close so it shouldn't pose that big of a problem. Even if it does with just a quick twist of the hose near the t-piece and you can easily adjust it back to your preferred location. But in my opinion it is worth it for the size and feel of it. It looks and feels very well built, just wish I could have gotten a chance to dive it. I will for sure be ordering one as soon as they become available.

Dave T's and JJ's BOV works the same way but is available now.
Twist with one hand isnt difficult and it is tiny. I've tested it on OC at 55m and couldnt be happier.
Well worth a look.
