Golem Gear BOV/ rEvo HUD

Group: I just installed my new GG-BOV on the rEvo. I attatched the HUD to the BOV using a half circle of PVC similar to the way the rEvo comes stock.
(Thanks Dave Sutton!)

I think it will work out OK but is there a better way? I am concerned it may pop off on entering the water. I would like to have it be more secure, but still able to go on and off easily.

Thank's in advance. Regards, Peter

Pete, there are a number of other ways to do it, I made that clip for your KISS BOV, and the Golem is going to be made to slightly different dimensions. I can adjust the diameter of the semicircle, the thickness of the ring, and width of the design of the clip to adjust the tension to make it as secure as you like. I had also made a complete "circle" one for the KISS BOV that used a nylon setscrew to adjust tension, but ended up not using it as it made gear break-down for cleaning more difficult. Let's engineer a correct clip for the Golem, and then your KISS one can be passed down to someone else. I dove that design all last year on my KISS BOV and it was ideal. We just need to make a correct one for the Golem, and maybe use Delrin to replace the PVC to give it more 'snap'.

Talk later, I'll be out all day but back tomorrow.

Best,

Dave

Re: Golem Gear BOV/ rEvo HUD

Did you choose de clamped or treaded version ?

On the clamp one, I bought from Paul a larger clip than the original one (normally for inspiration dsv) and it just works fine.

Could you place some pictures of your fitting?

Thanks

Re: Golem Gear BOV/ rEvo HUD

Thanks all. Dave, I look forward to my new GG clamp!

Ralph, sorry, I do not have a digital camera. Dave Sutton made the clip. Perhaps he might take a shot of it and put it up. Peter

It looks like it's not made for the clamped version of the BOV.

Secundo, how do you want to fix the rEvo HUD on it? is it just the right width?
