BOV Use Poll

There is a great discussion on the use of the BOV that was sparked by the recent NACD Cave CCR Summit.
I'd like to put some "hard" numbers on how people feel about BOVs, as it seems that divers approach BOV use quite differently from most manufacturers.
Please answer the BOV poll so we can get quantitative representation of BOV use.

I was one of the first to buy your BOV. I wouldn't dive a rebreather without one.

When I was first shopping around for an Rebreather part of the reason I opted for the KISS is its BOV. IMO more bailout/sanity breath options are better than less.

Switched to BOV right after MOD 1 on the Inspo. Got Meg got BOV. Persuaded others to try it and get one themselves. Hopefully getting another person to get one this week. Its not a gadget its a potential life saver.

On the to do list:

1. Golem BOV

2. Draeger FFM/2nd stage/p-ports

See advantages and disadvantages to both, but only advantages to having one or the other. So, I need to get off my ass and do something about that!

Wanted one on the PRISM, got one on the Sport Kiss.
Would add one to any Rebreather that comes without it.

I had the opportunity to buy a Golem BOV, I don't regret it.

I was NOT on of the first to buy your BOV, but was worth every penny. Have on the Meg and the Evo. I definately would not dive a rebreather without one FOR SURE.

I haven't voted because my position isn't represented.

I used to dive the BOV that comes with the KISS and still would if I didn't use the SNOG valve instead, I wish it was a BOV as well as a SNOG valve as I would prefer to dive both!

I feel the SNOG gives me maybe 20% of the BOV as I can access fresh non loop gas instantly, its just hard to breath off, I have tried and you can, if needed, treat it like the "breathing from a free-flowing reg" drill from our early SCUBA training.
I always dive with a proper reg on a necklace, I am concerned about getting to it in a CO2 event.
