The weight is about the same as the original, maybe a hair lighter. It was a prototype at the show and the production model, if it all proves out, should be available around January/February or so. Jakub said he should probably have them at Beneath The Sea, which is in March. The second stage will be available as an option to add to the current models if one chooses to do so. Richie |

The smaller 2nd stage will be a drop-in replacement for the current hi-performance 2nd stage.I am in the market for a new BOV for the Meg and Panorama combination, do you have a release date for these yet and what’s the WOB like with that little diaphragm compared to the full size ones? Cheers Chris We are redesigning the smaller regulator as the we were not statified with its performance at depth. |

Thank you for taking into consideration the existing customers using GG BOV.For those who like me have a couple of GG BOV, this would give me the option to chose the BOV depending on dive purpose. Just make sure it is ready by March when I will be in the US *please*... ![]() |

Richie Considering it's the same weight and the new second stage is not up to expectations at depth I am beginning to think I will stick with the one I already have which works perfectly."If it ain't broke don't fix it" Lance

You have just done your MOD-2 so some of these might be applicable to you, but keep in mind...If the weight is correct right now u/w (i.e. neutral) with your set-up, what would (dry) lighter weight benefit you ? If the intention to use the BOV as the medium to get off the unit while getting the OC from the stage, why do you need the absolute best breathing 2nd-stage on it ? On the other hand, having a smaller surface will help reducing drag, and subsequent effort to bite, when scootering. |

"If it ain't broke don't fix it" Lance Have you tried it upside down? OK were not upside down much ![]() My only concern about the present unit is the difficulty in obtaining and the cost of replacement diaphragms. The reg breaths very wet if its inverted which is a surprise too. I found the WOB on the present unit to be comparable to the standard KISS unit. ATB Mark

Isn't the GG BOV using the Apeks parts ?IIRC from my OC days, Apeks second stages were quite wet when upside down as well but is a relatively easy problem to fix. |
