CC to CC SC to SC & OC to OC Since there aren't any production bailout CC I guess it will have to be OC fore the time being, but not built in! Robert Landreth

Robert Landreth Since the BOV is set up with a second stage attached, when you twist the switch, you are on OC. It's just up to you what it is attached to on an inboard or outboard basis. It could also be set up to switch to a bail-out Rebreather, if you are so inclined. Cheers! Rob

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I had one of the first BOB OC/DSVs. It worked fine and I used it in anger at 80 metres. I also used it on 2 CO2 incidents, when I had been huffing and puffing, one at 70 metres and the other at 82 metres. I don't have one anymore, I sold it. Mainly because it was non CE and no good for teaching. That was 2 years ago now and I have had no OC/DSV since. I am not convinced I need one, I may revisit that when they are CE approved and manufacturer supplied. Now get this, when I bailed at 80 metres onto a 7 litre tin that was plugged into the OC/DSV, I had used 100 bar by the time I had sorted myself out and got to 54 metres. So those of you talking about your 20 litre SAC are in for a big, big shock one day. If you plug your OC/DSV to an inboard you are asking for serious trouble. Don't forget that you may need some dil to inflate your wing if you are in trouble at the surface, drysuit buoyancy is not always reliable. Just some thoughts......... Cheers, Dave Cooper.

I had two students tested to 40+ LPM working RMV and thought that was high until last week-end, another student did 88 LPM working RMV.I am not sure what he will need to carry for bail-out yet when he does the KISS course next week... ![]()

Silly question, but have you had a CO2 hit since you got rid of the BOV?Amen to "CE approved and manufacturer supplied"...

Cheers, Dave Cooper.
