Question Adjusting Kiss Paragon ? How ?

Fitted a Kiss BOV to my Vision but as soon as I crack the cylinder valve it free flows .How can I adjust it ? have tried turning the knob on the side but makes no difference .Would it be due to a difference in IP pressure between Kiss & Vision ?
TIA

Re: Adjusting Kiss Paragon ? How ?

There is an adjustment inside the LP hose connection. I seem to remember you should back off the adjustment knob 1st, but I could be wrong.

Re: Adjusting Kiss Paragon ? How ?

Disconnect the hose from the reg end and turn the adjuster.( it will either be a slot for a screwdriver or an allen key) clock wise I.E. inward against the seat.

IMHO you would be well advised to not trust the Paragon. This topic has been covered in other posts so I will not belabor the point here.

So what is one 'to/not to do' - I wouldn't mind knowing, as I'm sure my Paragon will start playing up eventually

Re: Adjusting Kiss Paragon ? How ?

You may want to consider fitting a Mares reg, which the newer KISS BOVs have. you can get it as a kit, including the second stage, or just the parts needed to mount one of your own.

I still have a paragon reg on mine, but I also have a shutoff valve added...

Re: Adjusting Kiss Paragon ? How ?

Also be careful not to tighten the breathing resistance too much on the Paragon as doing so can crack the case.

Cheers,

Dave Cooper.

Re: Adjusting Kiss Paragon ? How ?

Used it yesterday for a 50 minute dive @ 22metres ,only problem seemed to be a wet breath ? is this common with the paragon ?

Do a search on Paragon. I think you may find that at on a good day it is an unreliable poor performer. Not exactly the description of the things one looks for in life support gear.
Do yourself a favor be safe & replace the little bugger.
