and advantage of a bite-piece in a FFM is ... that you don't have to bite on it, it is just there, on the right place, and your lips are around it..

have a panorama R, works perfect, just when you add a OC (TX100) reg on the side, you have to block the OC exhaust, if not you will loose gass very quickly by accidentally nose-venting, and you can't put some overpressure in your mask if you want to
