Just wanted to say hello to the rebreather world community,I'm new to this forum.
I am looking to by a Meg and seriously interested at buying a new one. The manufacturers have not replied to my emails asking for rough league times. Does anyone out there know if it will be a long wait?
Has anyone had experience with Kiss and Meg, if so could you give me your opinion and preference.
Cheers and safe diving
One way or the other your gonna make a good choice. This is the same choice I had, but ended up with the yank(ee) over the canuck made unit. I'm such a traitor (as I'm Canadian).

G'day AlexP,
... Having said all that What more could you ask for ---unless you wanted to be an Auto pilot (ECCR).

That's asking for trouble, but no big deal
Not yet officially disclosed and speculated safety statistics seem to be better for mCCR's (KISS, Revo, or COPIS Meg style Rebreather's). If you do choose eCCR, your Meg instructor will likely encourage manual eCCR flight in order for you to build the correct eCCR habit. It is not meant to be an autopilot!
My argument is that a properly operated eCCR is safer than mCCR as the SP controller will take over if I should ever become over task loaded. You'll also have greater depth capability and a machine that withstands much travel abuse.
Statistics are totally against me, but I think that this is a result of indeed, many eCCR'rs operating their unit as an auto-pilot. It requires good monitoring skills, and the ability to checklist your pre-dive, every dive.
