| Sra Keow 1: deep exploration sub 210m/700ffw The Asian Cave Diving Club actively works in the last preparation phase of the deep exploration of Sra Keow 1, Krabi, Thailand. Ben Reymenants and Cedric Verdier just replaced the old habitats (a.k.a. Ritz and Hilton) with a band new habitat for comfortable decompression. Mike Gadd and a bunch of wild support divers, DMTs, physician, photographers and videographers will be soon arriving in Krabi to increase the turnover of the local bars and accidentally prepare everything for the BIG dives. This time, thanks to some impressive logistics, the 3 divers expect to explore the deepest part of this now famous cave system in Thailand. Below 210m/770ffw, the main shaft is expending and nobody knows where and how deep it goes. The goal of this expedition will be to survey this spring to find the connection with the nearby system. For updated news, have a look at these two blogs: http://asiancavediving.blogspot.com and http://cedricverdier.blogspot.com For detailed information about the previous expeditions, have a look on page Cave Expeditions at Cedric Verdier, Cave, Rebreather, Technical & Recreational Diving. Cheers
Photos: on the left, old habitat, on the right new habitat. Much nicer!
