| Re: Rebreather in Stock -- NESS John - you guys are great (as my credit card will attest!)
Ok, on to what I'd stock were I you....
1. Parts/pieces/hoses. Especially breathing hoses. Not just for O2ptima divers either - us homebuilders like stuff like that, and you can bet we'll buy them. DiveRiteExpress used to openly stock and sell them, but no more. That spells O.P.P.O.R.T.U.N.I.T.Y. Solenoids are a big one, as they tend to be hard to get from the manufacturers in small numbers (try buying few than 100 - its not easy.)
2. Sensors. At least the Teledynes or, better, the AII ones. There is currently no stocking source out there for the AII (Analytical Instruments) sensors, and many believe they're a superior product. People CAN buy direct, but its better to have a stocking org.... that could be you!
3. You want to really get radical? Stock counterlung sets and T-pieces / connectors. Not necessarily as replacements, but as a means for people to buy them for their own projects! I bet you sell more than a few if you have all the pieces to meld them together. That's a BIG ISSUE among homebuilders at present..... there are solutions but a "clean" solution is not trivial. Again, at one time DRE had the counterlung assemblies on their web page - they no longer do. Those + Ts + hose adapters makes for all of a loop EXCEPT the DSV and Cannister - the DSV is not hard to source (although you could carry that too!) and the cannister is the "essence" of a homebuild. Again, this isn't so much for "spare parts" as it is to support those who march to a "different drummer."
Anyway, I know that's a bit off the target of what you asked, but since 'ya asked an a fairly open-ended fashion.........
Oh, and welcome to RBW.
