Whatever you want to do, be sure to test the flow rate at depth.
Sometimes there will be restrictions in the manifold and/or adapter that will limit the flow rate to the BOV.
When you bail out to a BOV, most likely that you will be breathing more rapidly and not a good time to find out that the flow is limited.
