biopsy was a option that was discussed but they have a top doc here at UNMC that does a lot of this kind of stuff and the MRI should suffice unless he finds any thing thats more questionable, that would warrant that. looking forward to the to squeezing in the MRI tube

I'm feeling rather confident about it being benign after talking with some of the DOCs on the RBW and a few of my customers. Seems every one points out the damage in the joint that is causing the pain and says I should be prepared for a hip replacement , sooner then later and remove the threat of possible fracture and relieve the arthritic issues. Only one DR made a statement about osteonecosis and a rather weak reference to my diving practices, He is not a diver.
Best of luck big guy, and let us know asap about what they find. Are you sure you will have to have a hip replacement? That will mean you will be out of the water for a bit ..... yikes.
