| Re: Tighten Your Nuts beanie
The tread was for lines that had not been taken apart in three months. Not owning the unit in question, I was just suggesting what the aviation industry has made common practice. mark the bolt, bolt moves , bolt is loose , why is bolt loose, figure out why bolt is loose.
i have woken up in the middle of the night and called dispatch, so that they could ask the line mech to check something that i had done on an aircraft. it was about every six months that i had that feeling that made me make the call. There was never a problem. A newbee boss chewed my butt one time i made the call, but one of the old timers saved me. his statement was, there are five hundred people on the aircraft, and if any one of my people has a single question on it's ability to fly, it does not fly!
so when you prep your units forget that you are preping for yourself, you are preping that unit for your children.
anal is good. While i dont take apart my lines, they are all torqued marked. so i don't have to.
