By running a larger EANx tank (10ltr for example) you always have the option of breathing the extra gas if things go wrong, also means one less 1st stage to fail, one less tank to maintain etc.

Hi no ive never used argon in the cylinder so its just good old air that i use. I currently dive with two ali 80s but still prefer to use an argon bottle.When i did my course with phil short i did use purely off-board for bc and suit inflation however i found this slightly messy when removing the stages.
